Scrapbooking Clubs a Valuable Resource

scrapbooking clubs
Scrapbooking clubs are a great resource for scrapbooking enthusiast who want to learn more about their hobby. Scrapbook clubs give scrapbookers the chance to meet on a regular basis and share their new scrapbooks with one another and exchange ideas and techniques for scrapbooking.

If you love scrapbooking and want to share your passion for the craft, consider joining your local scrapbooking club. If a club does not exist in your area yet, get a few friends together and designate a night to meet. The first few meetings will be mundane and organizational in nature, but after the initial work setting up the club is done you will look forward to your regular meetings.

Scrapbooking Punches Essential for Serious Scrapbookers

scrapbooking punches
It is well known that the right scrapbooking tools are essential to creating great, memorable scrapbooks. Scissors, glue, and rulers are commonly known to be as important to the craft of scrapbooking as paper and ink. Scrapbooking punches are often overlooked as essential scrapbooking tools by many scrapbookers.

My scrapbooking hole punch is one of my favorite and most versatile tools. It allows me to make perfectly sized holes in my scrapbook pages when getting them ready for installation into a new binder style scrapbook. I can also use the punched out pieces of colored paper as decorations for my scrapbooks in the future. Saving these little pieces of paper can be beneficial in the long run.

Scrabooking Rooms are Great for Avid Scrapbookers

scrapbooking rooms
For the serious scrapbooking enthusiast, having dedicated scrapbooking room in your home is an ideal way to centralize your scrapbooking hobby and organize your scrapbooks, supplies, and necessary tools.

Good scrapbooking rooms feature a large, well-organized desk with plenty of workspace and places to store your scrapbooking tools within easy reach. Many people like to keep their tools in drawers for easy storage, but I prefer keeping my tools in wire containers that allow me to see my tools while working. This lets me see the tools I have available so that the best tool for the job never escapes me. Also, scrapbooking rooms should have a shelving unit for storing completed and in progress scrapbooks. Overall, designating a scrapbooking room in your home is a great way to enrich your hobby.

There is a Huge Variety of Scrapbooking Techniques Out There... Which is Yours?

scrapbooking techniques
For as many scrapboookers there are in the world, there are probably just as many scrapbooking techniques. Each of us is as unique as the next, and our scrapbooking styles reflect this. Some hobbyists like to decide on a theme for an entire scrapbook before starting a project. Themes include, special events, vacations, news items, sports, family, etc…

Other scrapbookers like to conceive their individual page layouts before fixing anything to the page. Templates are useful when working with this approach. Some scrapbookers like to work extemporaneously, just letting whatever comes to mind flow onto the page, producing a somewhat chaotic feel in their scrapbooks. This is my style. I like to just go with how I feel and follow my instincts. So far, I have been very happy with the results.
